Defending MASCAC men's cross country champion Bridgewater State has been selected by the conference's seven coaches as the preseason favorite to take home the team title at this year's cross country championship, while Fitchburg State has been tabbed third. The Bears received five of the first-place votes for 34 points, followed by Westfield State with a first-place vote and 29 points. Landing in the third spot with 26 points was Fitchburg State.
