Unemployment rates rose slightly in July, but remained low across Central Massachusetts, according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data released on Tuesday by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development. The Worcester metropolitan area rose one-tenth of a percentage point to 3.1%, still down from 4.1% year over year.  The Leominster-Gardner area ticked up to 3.2% from 3% in June. A year ago, the rate was 4.5%. Unemployment in the Framingham area remained the lowest in the region at 2.
